A message from our newly-elected GGNA president

Hello Greater Glenwood,

Who is Greater Glenwood you ask? It is Glenwood, only greater! I am so honored to be your new President and I look forward to our exciting journey ahead! We are one of the most diverse neighborhoods in our city representing old and young from many cultures and many traditions. Interestingly there are some things which are common to many faiths and teachings. Some bear mentioning:

  • “Life and death are in the power of the tongue” …. from Judeo/Christian Proverbs
  • “A kind word with forgiveness is better than almsgiving followed by injury” …. from the Quran
  • “Words have the power to both destroy and heal. When words are both true and kind, they can change our world”…. Gautama Buddha
  • “If you cain’t say nothin nice, don’t say nothin at all”…. old Glenwood proverb

Please join me as we use the power of our words to build our neighbors up, to give life to new ideas and to heal our neighborhood!

Together we can change our world!

– Kathryn Golden Morris, GGNA President

Kathryn was elected president of GGNA at the May 5, 2016 GGNA meeting. Congratulations to Kathryn and to Patricia Wisneski (vice-president & treasurer) and Casey Thomas (secretary) who were also elected at the May meeting!
